A Creagerstown businessman is taking rising energy prices into his own hands. Rather than just complaining about high utility bills, Jamie Burdette, owner of a welding business, has built his own windmill and hopes to meet all, or almost all, of his home’s energy needs. This is just one of the stories covered in this week’s Frederick 360. We also visit Evangelical Lutheran Church in downtown Frederick which is celebrating its 270th anniversary this year. Senior Pastor Dave Oravec talks about the church’s history. A short distance from Evangelical Lutheran is the Visitation Academy that has a number of traditions of its own, including apple dumpling day, also featured on the show. Looking at the musical scene, we talk to Jamaal West who has been on the rap scene since 1998 and is hoping for some success outside of Frederick.
