The backdrop for this week’s program is Baker Park, a 35 acre linear park running through the heart of downtown Frederick. We’ll learn about this beautiful setting that features playgrounds, walking paths, ball parks, a concert pavilion, lake and gardens. We'll visit Frederick Memorial Hospital's new neonatal intensive care unit, and we’ll re-visit the Civil War battle that saved Washington!
This week’s program includes an update on the changing local restaurant scene, a trip to local Pick Your Own fruit farms, and the weekly exchange of views with D.C. Rice and Lane Fields.
We’ll check out a fun way to beat the heat this summer, take a look at some impressive projects completed by local Eagle Scouts, and take a brief step back in Frederick history.
