This week’s episode comes to us from the Frederick YMCA, which is celebrating 150 years of service in our community! In our first segment, we’ll examine a place that would like to serve our community but is facing controversy and confusion – the proposed Muslim Center in Walkersville. Next, we check in with Laurie Boyer, executive director of Frederick County’s Office of Economic Development, who will explain what’s happening around the county. We’ll then hear WFMD morning DJ Bob Miller will comment on the County’s trash woes, meet a family raising some unique sheep, visit the Frederick School of Cosmetology, and see what events are coming up in the county. Finally, Pat Hanberry, CEO of the Mental Health Association of Frederick County, explains the new 2-1-1 system, we’ll meet author Mary Rubin, and get an update on events to attend at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
