Frederick County’s largest aquatic store--Pools, Porches & Patios—is the location for this week’s episode of Hello Frederick. Segment host Val Atmonavage starts off the program with a list of mid-summer, family-friendly happenings in and around Frederick. Keith Roberson of Keeney & Basford Funeral Home stops by to address some frequently-asked questions about cremation, and we’ll look back at the Frederick of old in this week’s history minute. Ice cream lovers, you’ll especially enjoy this week’s Celebrity Chef. Ben & Jerry’s co-owner, April Jensen, takes us through the stages of building one of the shop’s top-selling ice cream cakes! Joe Volz has a reprise of his “What exactly IS a ‘Senior Moment” commentary, and on a much more serious note, Hello Frederick visits with the coordinators of an affordable medicine program at our local Community Action Agency. Homewood’s Cheryl Wright has an observation about retirement in the 21st century, and Autumn Hollis has the word about an innovative idea that’s helping the environment AND keeping kids off the street and on the courts.
